Security and paths

Once the download is completed, you may get the following screen, depending on your web browser and its security settings:

Go ahead and click Run.

Now the installer is actually running on your PC, and it needs to ask you a few things:

Click on Next

The following screen appears, and you should note the values for path it will be installing itself to on your hard disk drive.

You should probably take the default path here, although you can change it if you need to. You will need to know this path when installing Plone Products or doing a database backup of your sites.

Click Next.

That triggers an additional screen asking for the Account name (userid) and Password you will be using as site administrator.

It is very important that you remember your userid and password, but do not give this to anyone else. These are the "keys" to your website, and you do not want anyone else to be able to modify or destroy your site.

Click Next to proceed.
